Concepts and Applications in China
  
Tomorrow’s environmental scientists need to be interdisciplinary in perspective, knowledgeable of the biological and socio-economic forces at work in a given ecosystem, and capable of comprehending the complexity in time and space of biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
OBJECTIVE:
To introduce students and collaborating faculty to the range of issues and research approaches to biodiversity conservation and rural development in SW China (Yunnan Province). The seminar builds on the existing collaborative arrangements between the University of Wisconsin and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institutes in SW China.
